Richard's career path has as many twists, turns, and hills as San Francisco. Richard has a classic advertising design background, but moved away from opinion-based design towards more logical proceedings on the business side of advertising. When MarTech started gaining traction in the early 2000s, Richard took on more digital technology projects, moved to an agency, and added a master’s degree in branding. Richard joined a small team of three at Tealium and grew to manage a team of 19. They were responsible for 800 customers and ultimately helped build a billion-dollar unicorn before landing at BlastX Consulting.
